Participation

The Wild Goose is a participatory festival. Your wristband gains you entrance, but our space is intentionally flexible and open. Once you are here you will be encouraged to join in with the community spirit. We will be sharing tasks and resources together; for instance, we hope that people might share meals or even be willing to help out a bit while you are here — small tasks like picking up trash if you see it on the grounds, sharing food with your neighbors, and taking part in conversations with people you don’t know are all things we will encourage in hopes of creating a truly community-based festival.

Scholarships

At the Wild Goose Festival, we are intentionally keeping ticket prices as low as possible, asking people who attend to share resources — traveling, eating, and camping together in groups wherever possible. But we don’t want money to be the reason for you not to attend. Please feel free to contact us if you think you will be unable to attend for financial reasons. We will let you know about options to make the festival accessible to you, no matter what you can afford.

Support the Festival

In order to make scholarships available — and have the best festival experience possible — we need people willing to becoming part of ongoing support of the festival. We encourage you to consider becoming a member of the Wild Goose Wings to ensure the future of the festival!

Coming and Going

For safety, comfort, and care for the environment, no driving around the festival grounds is permitted. Note for RV Vehicle Campers: Please have your RV on site after 11 am but no later than 4 pm on Thursday. (All vehicles may begin arriving at 10 am on Thursday, and campers can drive their cars to their campsites on-site to unload between 10 am and 4 pm on Thursday.) All vehicles (other than RVs) must be moved to the parking area by 4 pm on Thursday. Please note that once the festival commences your vehicle cannot leave the site except in the case of an emergency. If you are unable to attend the entire event you must let the parking attendants know this when you arrive, and we will provide alternative parking for your RV adjacent to the main parking lot. Please note that the festival ends at 12:30 pm on Sunday, and we kindly ask everyone to be off the site by 2 pm.

Trash, Recycling and Compost

Please help us reduce our waste by following this simple request: If you bring it with you, take it home! If you need some trash bags, just ask! Please sort glass, aluminum, plastic, cardboard, and trash. Food vendors are using all compostable utensils and paper products at the festival. In the food vendor area you will find compost, recycling, and trash containers — please sort any trash (plastic, aluminum, foil, etc.) from your left over food, paper plates, cups and napkins and the utensils from food vendors and COMPOST THEM! We are also encouraging people to bring re-fillable water containers as there will be spigots providing good drinking water around the site.

Anti-Harassment Policy

The Wild Goose festival is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of festival participants in any form. [MORE]

Alcohol

Due to insurance requirements, you may not bring outside alcohol to the festival. We will have both a beer/wine pavilion and vendors serving non-alcoholic beverages on site. 12-Step meetings will be offered daily to anyone in recovery (from any 12-step tradition) who wishes to participate. It is hugely important to us that everyone feels comfortable, respected, and safe during their time at Wild Goose. Public intoxication and drug use are not acceptable on or near the festival site; underage drinking is illegal. We reserve the right to intervene with inappropriate behavior, and will ask people to leave the site if necessary.

Pets

Pets are not allowed at the festival. If you have a service animal you need to bring, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.

We kindly request that the Wild Goose and the Hot Springs festival site be treated with respect at all times. Thanks!
