The Keep

An eclectic indie-folk duo from the mountains of East Tennessee, The Keep sings of hope in broken places and love in a vengeful world. With care-filled harmonies reminiscent of Simon & Garfunkel and a dynamic intensity akin to contemporary folk duos like The Civil Wars and The Oh Hellos, they weave sonic stories that are are bound together not so much by genre or style as by a common vulnerability and sincerity. Their debut album, Bienvenu (released under “daniel couper”), told a cyclical story of disruptive grace with the help of over 60 musicians. The follow-up EP, Epilogue, explored this same disruptive grace through songs inspired by the literature of the ages, from The Velveteen Rabbit to Les Misérables.
