Rev. David Mateo

David Mateo is Associate Pastor of United Church of Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill, NC.
He earned his Master of Divinity degree from Lancaster Theological Seminary, PA.
Besides being lecturer about immigration, racism, and other Social Justice matters, he is well-known for his experience working with the Latinx LGBTQ community in Central America. His work on advocacy, support, and organizing allies for the LGBTQ community in Honduras, Guatemala and Nicaragua has been very recognized. Also, he is the writer of the Book,”Jesus Deported: The Illegal Gospel of The Undocumented Son of God.” An interesting interpretation of the Gospel of Mark applied to the migration phenomena in US.
