M. Laurel-Leigh Meierdiercks

Laurel Meierdiercks is a graduate of Candler School of Theology and a current Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at the University of South Florida. Her work in seminary explored questions of religious experience and the philosophical figures who have sought to describe these ineffable experiences. Currently, Laurel is working on her dissertation which posits a new ecofeminist ethic that can help build stronger relational ties between individuals, their communities, and nature. Her larger project involves using this ecofeminist ethic to address issues of climate change. She is a Graduate Fellow of the Institution for the Advanced Study of Culture and the Environment. She has attended Wild Goose for a few years as a volunteer and hopes to share her passion for ecofeminist ethics with her community here at Wild Goose.
