Emily Joy is a spoken word poet, yoga teacher and writer from Nashville, Tennessee. Her passion is to help people make peace with their bodies through art, education, mindful movement, and community. She has release two studio albums of spoken word poetry and performed in venues across the country. Emily is also the co-founder of the #ChurchToo movement, a #MeToo spinoff focused on exposing sexual and sexualized violence in churches and other faith communities, and has been organizing and teaching at the intersection of faith and sexuality for the better part of a decade. She is currently working on a #ChurchToo book and dreaming of more ways to stir up trouble. In her spare time, she works at a church.
