The Pinkerton Raid has played every Wild Goose Festival except the first one and in 2017 when songwriter Jesse James DeConto had to be in Minnesota. It is one of the highlights of every year for the band. They’ll play songs from their four full-length albums, especially the most recent WHERE THE WILDEST SPIRITS FLY. That collection examined relationships at the macro level, between races, political persuasions and with the earth itself. Jesse’s latest batch of yet-to-be recorded songs, being developed with bassist Jon Depue and drummer Scott McFarlane, mines the most intimate relationships, among children and parents, siblings, grandparents and friends won and lost, for that elusive sense of human belonging.
