There remain radical differences between movement work and academic spaces. Most are hierarchical and do not lend themselves to the kind of relationship building that is necessary. What does it look like when we dismantle these hierarchies through activism molded by storytelling? There is both action and deep emotional connectedness involved when we take to the streets to engage in the movement. But if we stop with ONLY the movement, we miss out on the growth that is sparked when we are pragmatic and not simply visionary. This dynamic team of storyteller activists will engage with the audience in the practical and honest ways that movement meets academia and the creative ways that activism meets story.
