The Outer Banks is a Progressive Christian duo making music about our ever-broadening view of who God is, and how that mindset affects the way we choose to live. Our music is an experiment born out of a need, its difficult to find songs for corporate singing that fit theologically into the Progressive Christianity we are living into. No longer could we sing about an unreachable God, whose love was conditional upon us asking Him to save us….or songs begging for Him to grace us with His presence. We believe that God is always as close to us as our own hearts. Our goal is to give meaningful songs to the progressive Christian, the mystic, the reverent agnostic, and the people who just find themselves drawn to something greater but don’t know how to label it.
