I am a life-long musician a flutist and singer. I am a member of Oakhurst Baptist Church in Decatur GA where I sing in the sanctuary choir and also play flute and penny whistle as appropriate. Joining me are Oakhurst members Jim Holmes and David Fluker, guitars, and Mark Reeve, spoken word. Our church has occasional Taize worship services using various instruments,and also includes music from Taize in Sunday morning worship services.. Several of us have brought Taize vespers to the Wild Goose for the past three years. We’ve found a welcoming “choir” of participants each year. Many who attend the Goose are avid and talented lovers of Taize music and participate with us enthusiastically. It is a rich and deeply spiritual experience for all. In 2018 we had about 50 people join us, overflowing the Chapel.
