Joy Warren

Joy Warren is an ordained minister in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She has a BA in Theatre/Directing from The College of Charleston and an MDiv from Memphis Theological Seminary. On any given day, you may find her on the town square praying for peace and justice, sitting at a community planning meeting, visiting labor camps in North Carolina with National Farm Worker Ministry, organizing a local action against white supremacy, serving on a denominational task force to unify the CP Church with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, or preaching a sermon at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. You may also spot her attending archery tournaments, Ultimate Frisbee tournaments, national high school chess tournaments, and lots of music events because her kids are crazy talented. Joy and her husband Chris (a pretty awesome minister) are advocates for welcome and inclusivity within their denomination.
